Plunging its roots in the deep and warm sands of the Sahel, born out of the tragedies and triumph of history, they journeyed into foreign lands, endured countless battles and finally after centuries of travail, found a heaven of grace in the grasslands of western Cameroon. Oral history place them in the Nile valley, perhaps in Asia couple thousand years BP (circa 3000 years Before Present Era). Around the sixteenth centuries they established themselves in western Cameroon.
